Chardy
I think your options will be very limited but I'm a bit out of touch with the latest visas, I'm sure someone else will know more. Have you tried the visa wizard on immi.gov. au ?

ali
Is the remaining relative visa an option https://www.immi.gov.au/Visas/Pages/115.aspx
Julesktm1
If she was under 18 when you moeved does that help you in anyway but the wizard visa will help in this regard too. Best of luck
jodielol
she is in her late 20's..... how does the remaining relative visa work?
verystormy
The remaining relative has test based on the fact that she has no more close family in the UK. However, it has a 16 year wait list. Otherwise she will have to qualify in her own right. What skills / occupation does she have?
Guest guest10912
I am a permanent resident here in Australia and im looking for information on how to sponsor my daughter so she can remain here in Australia! any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :smile2: Realistically your daughter needs to find her own visa. She is too old for a child visa and family sponsorship of skilled migration has some limited help, but only if she qualifies for skilled migration anyway. What is her occupation? What visa is she on at the moment? The remaining relative visa is not an option I would recommend, she is young and would be in limbo for a very long time, limited work rights and having to seek permission to leave the country for a holiday for the next 16 years. jodielol
she is on her 2nd year whv visa.... I am interested in sponsoring her on the "remaining relative visa"? both us parents and other children are PR in Australia. has anyone else here used the remaining relative visa option? if so I would like to hear from you! thanks
verystormy
There are one or two members on PIO going through it. She would need to be aware that if she applies while in Oz, she would be allowed to stay, but would not be allowed to work or leave australia for a holiday for the next 16 years. Lou8670
[QUO TE=verystormy;99860]There are one or two members on PIO going through it. Sounds like skilled migration is the best route and if she doesn't have a skill on list obtain one...it'll be far quicker than 16 years for a remaining relative visa. Can she do this in Oz, if you're willing to pay for the training and support her throughout that time, on a student visa?

What is it you would like to know about it?
