Raychelsb
I can't believe its a year since I went! We enjoyed it, met our migration agent there. 7 months later we got our visa. Hope you have a great say and get a lot out of it. Raychel

Not tomorrow, but Sunday. I've heard mixed reports about the ones in the past, but to be honest, we're just going to go and enjoy it, if nothing else it'll be a day out with a nice lunch and no kids.. even though I've been doing my research here online, I'm pretty sure that there is so much more to learn and for the sake of a tenner a ticket and a tank of fuel, I'll give it a go. Wish that we had known about this,we would have had a wonder down,as it's not far from South Yorkshire. Anyhows if you go have a "g'day skip"

Our sentiments exactly, although we have no kids! So much to get to know and understand, even though we have just engaged Go Matilda, I am sure there will be some useful info to take away with us. We we went to something similar in Manchester last year and sat thru' a talk on WA. Well when I sat sat thru' I was listening intently whilst 'er indoors was sat swooning over the good looking Ozzy bloke giving the presentation. Good day out though. TBh it was a bit smaller than we had imagined, a bit of a squeeze seeing some of the people on some of the stands....that said, as we were not looking to speak to the recruiters or visa agencies, the people we saw were brilliant, and we watched a couple of the 10 minute presentations, which helped both of us, with some ideas as we plan the route ahead.......so for us, a shorter visit than we anticipated, but, left with lots of great info, and a couple of good contacts for the future. (No pens, although there are shed loads available if you want them!) Edited May 10, 2014 by Steely

skip1690
Did you go? Was it good for you? Yes we went and I'm glad we did, got a couple of pens too!! we had a visa eligibility pack ready and waiting for us from Immigration2oz as we had filled out the online registration a few days ago and that saved us a bit of standing in line and it was a positive one, they reckon we'd have a great chance of getting a 189 visa. We spoke to the recruiters for Smart Teachers and that also seemed positive for Mrs Skip, all round a good child free day topped off with a carvery on the way home!!!!
