Good area to live within a commuting distance to Bentley

Hi all, can you recommend any good areas to live within a commute to Bentley. At the moment considering. Fremantle. Thanks.

Freo is a long way from Bentley. And it'll be hard going.

 

Have a look at Vic Park, South Perth, Como - for the nicer areas.

 

Belmont and Redcliffe would be more affordable, but check for air port noise.

 

Welshpool and Kewdale are quite industrial, Cannington is a huge shopping area, and the train line from Thornlie heading south has slightly rougher areas.

 

EDIT - to add.

Freo is doable, easily by UK standards, but the main roads are stop/start with traffic lights, traffic will be heavy and you'll be looking for rat runs after an accident.

Leech is quicker than Canning (70 limit instead of 60, and less lights). It'll slow down when near the freeway.

Como Applecross south Perth, Willeton, Rossmoyne, Leeming all have good schools though don't know if you have kids.

We live in Munster (just south of Fremantle) and my OH works in Welshpool, takes him about 40mins to and from work. He has got to know some of the alternative routes when there has been an accident.

Thanks guys, so glad I asked. I current have over an hour commute and certainly don't want that now. I will check the areas you mention. Yes we have a child so will be thinking about good schools too. Thanks!
