190 Visa

Hi,

Just a quick one to find out if anyone has had their 190 Visa granted recently? We have been waiting a while now & I know about the Visa allocations coming to an end. We received the 'standard' email. It is just that I know that one member was granted theirs recently so I was wondering if anyone else had. It is just really frustrating but we are trying to stay positive. Hearing from anyone else waiting for their 190 would be great.

Thanks

Hi, we are also impatiently waiting along with many more I'm sure. Our timeline is very similar to yours but our case was finalised at the end of Feb and we then had the 'standard' email but no joy yet! Think I've resigned myself to the fact that it will be July now when the new program year starts. Soo frustrating!! :arghh:

Thanks for replying. It is very frustrating!!! So near but so far.....

No probs. what occupation have you applied under? My husband is the main visa applicant and his occupation as 'project administrator' was removed off the list at the end of October but it didn't affect the visa as we had just got in before they removed it but I still worry. We can't plan a thing until we get that visa been in limbo for months now after selling the house etc.

I know the feeling of living in 'limbo'...we never want to buy anything or make any plans here because we are always in hope that our Visa will be granted. It must of been a worry when your Husbands occupation was taken off the list. Immi have our whole lives in their hands & I don't like that feeling very much.

My partner is the main Visa applicant & he is a Joiner. He already has a job set up for when we get there. The employer has been kind enough to leave the job open until we get there.

Yes I don't like it very much either! Having a job already lined up is amazing, well done, so you need to get out there ASAP when your visa is granted. Same here we don't want to make too many plans etc and my little boy is 3 in July so for him I'd like to get out there as soon as possible so that he's not affected by the whole move. Fingers crossed eh!!

My youngest boy is a similar age to your little boy!! I notice you live in Derbyshire...we are close by in Nottingham. It would be good to keep in touch. The last time I messaged someone on here, the next day they had their Visa granted, hopefully it will work for you too :)

Relax, it all looks sweet for you. Medicals passed is the last step, job lined up. You will be on your way soon enough. Nothing looks particularly odd about your time line to me.

For us it has been....we didn't think it was going to take as long as it is.

Have you applied for a 190 visa?

No we've currently got a 457 going through for the family with my husband as main applicant. He should be going over next month, with us following a few months behind. I want to work out there and think I might be able to apply for a 190 as a HR Advisor but I can't wait a whole year to go. (I have no understanding of any of this yet really so pls bear with me)

Hi,

Why doesn't your Husband add you on to the 457? You can work on a 457 as long as your Husband (the main applicant) is working. The 457 is temporary but you can begin the 190 Visa process whilst you are in Australia. My friend has just done it this way and it hasn't taken her as long as us. I would recommend that you get some advice from a MARA registered migration agent too. We used The Emmigration Group & they have been very helpful. Hope it all goes well for you

We are also using Em Group, all been ok so far we just waiting for skill assessment to come back and keith doing his 3rd ielts soon so hopefully after that the EOI can go in. I so hope we don't encounter any problems with them. I'm glad you managed to get sorted and got there in the end. it's stressful enough without not getting the help you need especially paying so much for it!!!!

We have just been advised by Go Matilda that DIDP have a limited 190 Visa left until the 30th June end of programme year so they are keeping a tight control on invitations and processing.

Wanted to add that I can't fault Go Matilda they have been awesome so far in this process!!

A frustrating wait for us all, but at least we are not alone x

VETAssess documents sent 13/11/13 , IElts exam booked 14/12/13, Ielts passed 27/12/13 - S9, R8.5, L8, W8. Positive vet assess skills assessment 13/03/14, EOI sent 14/03/14, ITA 20/03/14, Approved 08/05/14, waiting for visa application..............
