Outback Travel Centres are launching a network of world-class travel centres in the north west of Western Australia... a 'one stop shop' to refuel, recharge and relax in style. We currently operate two Travel Centres in the North West, in Newman and in Carnarvon. We have two more centres to be built in Karratha and Port Hedland. Reporting to the Head Chef you will be responsible for preparing, cooking and serving quality food from an A La Carte menu, in addition to maintaining excellent hygiene and HCCAP standards. This is a full-time role and you'll be working a 5 day roster with 2 days off. This is not a fly in fly out role and would require residence in Carnarvon. Applicants must possess: AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3) At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above Previous experience in a similar environment Extensive experience cooking a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables Food preparation and cooking, plating, presentation skills Excellent food hygiene standards Person Specification: • Must posses a positive attitude and work well with other team members • Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised • Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel. • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 15kg • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours). • Be willing to follow direction and ask questions for clarification if needed. • Be able to work in a fast paced kitchen environment To apply visit the outbacktc.com.au website Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
