Nikkis2000
I'm looking for some ideas for a long weekend away at the end of June. I've looked at Margaret River and am astounded by some of the prices - $200 a night !! And that's not even anywhere particularly plush! I'm not bothered if it's North or South as we want to investigate both at some point. Just somewhere nice, relaxing and that's not going to bankrupt us! Weedolly
I have some discount vouchers for places that I know we wont use, 25% off Margarets Forest Apartments in Margaret River, 25% off Quest Mandurah, 10% off Lighthouse beach resort Bunbury, 25% off Seashells, Mandurah, Scarbourgh Beach, Yallinup, Broome, and a few more. They are out of the Entertainment Book for kids. If you are interested in any of them let me know I will post them to you

verystormy
Nikki. I think you are in for some shocks. $200 a night is not expensive here. Besides Margs we like to go to Dwellingup. There isn't as much to do, but some lovely walks in the state forest. Though it is better in spring as we stay at this place that has a huge lake in the grounds and my wife loves a sunny afternoon on a pedlo on the lake. For margs we normally book a cottage / house through these people http://www.inhouseholidays.com.au/ Very good and although the cheaper ones are a bit basic, there perfectly fine. It is normally mid winter when we go as well as not only is it cheaper, but we like the fact most of the properties have a log fire and we love curling up on a night in front of it and opening a bottle of wine. Margs isn't cheap though and be aware that a couple of nice meals at a winery and a few bits and pieces can see a big dent in the wallet. Also be aware that none of the wineries restaurants are open on a night - lunch only.
