Arwen
Can anyone tell me their experiences with Wannaroo Senior School. I have read post that are a year or two old with negative comments but I know how a school can turn around. Thank you It doesn't enjoy the best of reputations, sadly. It isn't the most academic of schools and the majority of the students there will not be university material. That in itself isn't a bad thing tbh. It depends what sort of child you have. Plus the kids who are academic as they get into year 11 they are in much smaller classes which is a bonus. My daughter goes to another not so sought after high school nearby but she is happy and doing well after I took her out of a decent private school. Go take a look around and chat to the teachers. You may well be surprised.
frosties
Thank you for your reply. What school does your daughter go to?
lozzachino
Thanks arwen, we were looking at carramar and then were put off when we realised wanneroo is the public high school for the area. my son is only in kindy but we are thinking about this all now as we decide to settle. Of course in seven years lots of can change so that is not helping the decision!
Arwen
Thank you for your reply. What school does your daughter go to? My daughter goes to Belridge. My youngest still goes to private school as it suits her. One thing I would say is that from my own experience the people my eldest has as friends now are far more genuine than the stuck up two faced girls she went to school with in private. They may not live in the best suburb, they may have daggy clothes and not drive a flash car but I do know which one of them would be there for my daughter if there was a problem. Never judge a book by it's cover.

The Brownsx5
My eldest is in Belridge, my middle lasted 2wks there and is now in Kinross so is my youngest. Belridge has a bad rep but I think it is trying hard to move away from that. As said before it all depends on the child what suited my eldest didn't suit the other two :-)
