Monthly bills

Sorry for yet another stupid question. But, I need to be able to know what to expect before we go as we are going with limited money.

What are the monthly bills likely to be, for a family of 5, with more than likely topish package on foxtel and broadband. We are looking at Canning Vale / Harrisdale area with rent between $450 - $550 a week 4 x 2 house.

Basically, what does rent include? is there things like Council Tax?

Thanks again!!

no council tax if renting. my elec was $180 (2mths) gas $147 (2mths) home phone/internet/foxtel sports $145 (mth) Water was $200 (3mths) i use paya s you go mobile $30 (mth). Food varies but you will find it more expensive here for sure, easily spend over $150 in woolworths without trying. Car tax ( rego ) i think also depends on the car you have, we have two small cars (focus and Fiesta) and pay around $200 for 6mths and about 180 for my old beetle. This rego also includes third party insurance but i would advise you get additional cover like you have in UK, but its cheaper than UK. Petrol is around $1.40 a litre for low grade petrol $1.60 for premium, diesel the same.

Beer is upwards of $8 per pint or you can get a case of half decent stuff for $45 (24cans/bottles) to drink at home/garden, if you like wine you can get box's of stuff with the crushers corn plasters in for $15 or you could buy bottles for over $150 down to choice again.

Im further south than the areas you state but think my figures are good ball park figures. You can spend less or more depending on taste!
