Sam8071
Has any submitted or know anyone who has submitted Form 1005 seeking permission to work under financial hardship? If i have savings which i don't want to spend to live on but instead continue to save and use eventually to buy a property when my substantive visa is awarded, will i be expected to use these and live off them? Do they look favourably on these applications? Can anyone offer advice?
verystormy
They are not going to regard you as in hardship if you have savings. You are expected to be able to use savings to live off.

ali
I would have thought that by having savings it will negate the being in hardship
DyLeB
How long have you been on a bridging visa? Which visa have you applied for onshore?
dxboz
You will definitely not be considered to be in financial hardship (which you are not) as you have savings
Zebradeb
to be honest... Its not hardship to live off savings... its life.
