Nutnudger
Hi there all I have been with my current employer for just over 18 months and I was hoping to go for PR from my 457 just after xmas now I have found out today that I may have a new employer in the next couple of months so the question is would my clock for PR restart from 0 there by meaning I need to get two years’ service with my new employer before I could go from a 457 to a company supported PR?? Or is it as long as you have been in Australia for 24 months and the time spent with each employer is irrelevant? I just didnt think that being on a 457 was going to be the issue its turning out to be...... As always thanks for any help

ali
You can apply for PR anytime independently
verystormy
As Ali says, you can apply anytime. All the two years gives you is not having to do a skills assessment.
Nutnudger
I had already asked them to do it rely about two months ago and they said no, I am now going to take it up with them again as there is the losser laity that I could lose my job as part of the sale but the sale may take 6 to 12 months to complete

They do it without any employer involvement. Your job is obviously available on one of the lists.

Its simple its it's easyer for me to do it with a latter from work, I am marred to an Australian but don't want to go down that route as it's much more exspencive and takes significantly longer to complete the process.
