Akasully2
I found these twiggy, seed head looking things attached randomly to a cupboard round the back of the house in the garden. I firstly thought they were plant based until I gently and cautiously nudged them with my foot. I then realised they were adhered to the cupboard by a small section at the top. Kind of glued on just at the 'head'. They were about 4-5cm long. I am now thinking that they may be cocoons. I have looked for them on the internet but I can't find out what they are. Can anyone identify them?

Akasully2
How on earth did you know about these from the UK? I'm impressed. I googled it and I think it may be a leaf case moth. It says they vary in appearance because the caterpillar picks up twigs and leaves and sticks it to its back. Thanks for your help! http://www.brisbaneinsects.com/brisbane_moths/LeafCaseMoth.htm
