Lou8670
Hi all Following our very successful family meet up last weekend at Heathcote Park (aka the Pirate Park in Applecross) I thought I should start a thread to make it regular end of the month event (venue to be decided)!!! The aim is to enable PP members with children to meet fellow PP families, to share experiences, contacts and of course to make friends! Everyone is welcome but this event is aimed to suit families with children. I'm thinking this should be something we could do monthly, providing of course there are enough of us wanting to meet up. I loved meeting everyone on Sunday and I can safely say no one had 2 heads or 3 arms and legs...so to speak and no offence meant! So how about another meet up on SUNDAY 27 JULY 2014? I don't know where yet but as soon as I do I shall let you know! Please feel free to message me with suggestions! I hope to meet you all again soon! Guest jacqs
Hi, sounds great. How about Mullaloo Beach park for all the northies?
Lou8670
I was planning to suggest somewhere in Freo or Perth so it's central to everyone. I'd love to see everyone who made it last time and some newbies. I'm just struggling where to suggest as it could do with being somewhere we can easily move inside if the weather isn't great. I'll have a look tomorrow Lou

Lou8670
I've had a look and the Esplanade Youth Plaza in Fremantle might be a good place to meet. It's a kids skate park but little ones usually also enjoy it. The kids can bring their skate boards or scooters and if the weather isn't great we could retreat into Little Creatures Brewing for a coffee, beer or bite to eat as it's right across the tracks from the park. There's also a ping pong table, apparently lots of bats but not many ping pong balls so you might want to bring some, and a small climbing wall. Parking: this can be a bit tricky in Freo on weekends. The park is only just along the tracks from the train station if you want to leave your car at home. If you want to bring your car it's recommended you park on Mews Rd. Close to the Esplanade there are a couple of large parking bays. Tickets are $1.20 per hour. If you go further south away from the Esplanade there is free parking, you will just have to walk a little bit. If there is an event on then try the free parking area first as the traffic can be very busy closer and around the Esplanade Park area. See you at 11am on 27 JULY ? flatpack
We will be there for the August meet up as long as it's at Little Creatures again:wink: Always seem to find that place on previous visits so it'll be familiarising myself with my surroundings
portlaunay
Re parking. My advice would be to park at South Beach at the end of Duoro Road and then take the CAT bus into town. When it's time to leave you can jump on the CAT outside the markets and it'll drop you at your car.
