Zebradeb
Hi Guys, I guess I should have already thought of this question as we leave in 10 days, but was wondering if there is a school bus that runs from Mullaloo to St Marks, and if so how much is this? Or would they get a Transperth bus? I would ask Transperth myself for the route, timings and cost for two school children...but alas they have no email enquiry option so I am relying once again on you guys for information. It looks like from what I can work out, that a one zone concession tariff for a student would be 60c each way? Anyone that knows these things can they let me know. We are not going to have a car on which the children can rely upon so I want them to get into the habit of using a bus. Any info as ever, greatly appreciated. They are both Secondary school age, so no worries I'm not putting any little ones on the bus! My two year old can still rely on the 'car car'
Arwen
There is no school bus for St Mark's and they would get Transperth. Depending on where you live in Mullaloo there are a few choices of bus. The 462, 461 and 460. The 462 and 461 both stop at Whitfords Shopping Centre and then it's a short walk to school. The 460 stops right at the bottom of the school oval. Once they start they need to go to the school office and apply for their smartrider cards. The school will take a photo and send the application off and you will get it back in a week or so. You can then log into the transperth website and arrange to have money autoloaded on the card if it drops below a certain amount. You will need to put the initial amount onto the card at the news kiosk in Whitfords Shopping Centre. Once you have done this you can arrange the autoload. It is 50c per journey. http://www.transperth.wa.gov.au/timetablepdfs/Bus%20Timetable%2065%2020130811.pdf Timetables and route map for these routes. http://www.transperth.wa.gov.au/smartrider/types-of-smartrider/student-smartrider Smartrider information Hope that helps.
