flatpack
As the title says, let's here your tales of misfortune. I've laughing at myself for mine but it's not going to stop us! After handling the IELTS test myself, the skills test and the whole visa process without a hitch what could possibly go wrong. Flights booked, stop over in Singapore all booked. This is a breeze. I've wound down my business to finish all my jobs off with 4 weeks to spare so I can spend some quality time with my family. The latter end of last week was spent getting the final things together ready for the container coming Monday (14th). All my tools cleaned and packed, clothes separated into taking or leaving. The weather is great, we've just had a great weekend as there's been a scarecrow festival in our little village. Late last night I get a call from a guy who's been a very good customer. Panicking, someone has lost the key for his office, can I call down first thing this morning and break in and change the locks. I agree to do because I'm a helpful guy (and he hasn't paid off his account yet). The plan is up early get the job done and back before the container arrives = no worries! Everything goes to plan, in, lock changed and out (with the account settled in full and in cash) within an hour. 5 mins back home and the jobs a good one. Back home for 9am, everything has gone that well that the guys from Crown haven't even arrived yet! At 9.30am I'm thinking best just give Crown a ring as we've moved since they first came to see us, the lads might have the old address. The conversation went something like this: Ring ring Crown: Hello, Crown Relocation Me: Hi, can I speak to Lisa please Crown: Yes, who's calling Me: Flatpack Crown: Hi Flatpack this is Lisa Me: Hi Lisa, I'm just wondering if the lads have the right address with us moving. Crown: What lads would that? At this point Mrs Flatpack can here what Lisa is saying and she's giving me the eye, you know the look, we've all had the look at some point! Me: I thought they were coming today! Crown: No Flatpack, you didn't ring to confirm like you said you would after conferring with Mrs Flatpack. Me: Ooops The moral of the story, if the missus can can organise better than you, let her!! Anyway, that container is BOOKED AND CONFIRMED for next Monday! nikkiwd
That is quite a big mistake, luckily you weren't moving out today and stuck with your whole container of stuff lol, I did all of our visa process and move preparations therefore no errors
