Start the new year off well !

OFF TOPIC,Steven I've just booked the Chester Residence in Edinburgh for a couple of nights at the end of August, any tips for a good curry house?

Cheers

Mithas is really good and about 10min(max) depending on traffic taxi ride, its down leith.

Also Kismot is nice aswell. But thats a bit further south from the chester residence about 15mins maybe in a taxi,

If you lile chinese I'd recommend ChopChop on Morrison Street I've been to that 1, but chopchop at 76 Commercial Street is closer to you again down leith, 10 mins in a taxi not even,

Its not the usual chinese restaurant, no chicken curry, lemon chicken really, homemade dumplings etc it was featured on Gordon Ramsays UK's best restaurant,

If you fancy a steak (bit pricey) but well worth it go to Kyloe just off princes street, good beer aswell but like I said £20+ for a steak but worth it for a treat.

Rentals should be fine.

Yes, it will be hot.

The schools will be closed for the summer holidays so lots of kids about at the tourist places.

My advice with flights is to try and get one that lands in Perth late afternoon / early evening. This can help with the jet lag. Until recently I flew long haul a lot and would arrive back at 5:30pm and would ensure I stayed awake for the last 7-8 hours. So by the time I got home, showered, and relaxed it was normal Perth bed time and I was tired.

We landed on 7th Jan this year and it was fine. First few days were a pleasant 35 ish degrees. Then for our first weekend it hit 46!! The power was out as well so we had no aircon or fans and it really wasn't that bad. We did find a few rellies that had pools though so we could cool down a bit!

Talking of steaks Steven, have you tried the Miller & Carter at Crammond Brig? Best steakhouse around! [emoji108]
