Mid 40's couple looking to meet more people.

We have been in Oz for 4 years, have 3 children. 2 boys 18 and 16. Daughter 25 who still lives in UK.

Hubby is 45 I'm 44. Orginally from Portsmouth.

Our life here in Oz is so much better then it was in the UK, however what we really miss is our family, social life and close friends. We all make sacrifises when we emigrate and I think this is one of the biggest issues that most of us brits can relate to. I totally understand the whole, "we have to put ourselves out there". So here it goes.

We live in Rockingham, we enjoy the simple things in life, good food, wine and beer, (depending on whom your talking to). BBQ's, get togethers at the local pub, park what ever the venue. We like to holiday and stay at home. I think in general we are a typical couple who loves life and has no worries.

If there are any other people out there who can relate to the whole "putting youself out there dilemma" we already have some thing in common.

Hello . We're in the Rockingham area and always up for meeting new people. We have three kids, I'm 44 and hubby is 37 !

I've arranged a few meet ups on here which are open to all not just those with children. The next one is on Sunday 31 August at 11am in Synergy Parklands in Kings Park. Why don't you come along? There is a lovely crowd of PP's coming, some with little ones and some without. Bring BBQ or picnic food and of the weather is rubbish we'll be in the cafe

Hi @Hopeful.

Sorry! Only just saw your post above. My eldest is settling into Freddie's very well. I am really pleased with the school. He's in year 5 and is really enjoying it although he still misses his old school in Jersey.

Hi we arrive in safety bay on Oct 4th. We have no family there so would love to meet up for a BBQ / at pub/ anything. I am 43 and hubby 46, 2 girls 12 and 9 and Labrador. Were just a normal family ( if there is such a thing!), easy going and hoping to meet some people to socialise with so would be happy to meet up ☺

There's quite a few of us in the area; we would love to meet up. I have 2 boys aged 10 and 8 and a girl aged 8. We're in Secret Harbour. Why don't you come to the meet up on 18th October in Synergy Parklands? We can also meet up before at rockingham foreshore or one of the parks or beaches around here if you like. Pm me
