shaxncarl
We have been in Oz for 4 years, have 3 children. 2 boys 18 and 16. Daughter 25 who still lives in UK. Hubby is 45 I'm 44. Orginally from Portsmouth. Our life here in Oz is so much better then it was in the UK, however what we really miss is our family, social life and close friends. We all make sacrifises when we emigrate and I think this is one of the biggest issues that most of us brits can relate to. I totally understand the whole, "we have to put ourselves out there". So here it goes. We live in Rockingham, we enjoy the simple things in life, good food, wine and beer, (depending on whom your talking to). BBQ's, get togethers at the local pub, park what ever the venue. We like to holiday and stay at home. I think in general we are a typical couple who loves life and has no worries. If there are any other people out there who can relate to the whole "putting youself out there dilemma" we already have some thing in common. I've arranged a few meet ups on here which are open to all not just those with children. The next one is on Sunday 31 August at 11am in Synergy Parklands in Kings Park. Why don't you come along? There is a lovely crowd of PP's coming, some with little ones and some without. Bring BBQ or picnic food and of the weather is rubbish we'll be in the cafe Lou

He's in year 5 and is really enjoying it although he still misses his old school in Jersey. Lou x
