Lally
Hi there, I'm new to the forum, so I apologise in advance if this question's been asked 100 times! I am coming to Perth at the beginning of September and need to rent a flat. I have been looking on real estate websites, but I can't see what would be required of me as a migrant to rent a flat. Can anyone recommend an Estate Agent? I have references, but the only one in Oz is my current employer... is that going to be a problem? Thanks in advance for any help
portlaunay
Welcome to PP. There is already a great many threads with the answers to your questions but I'm sure someone will be able to help soon. My only comment would be that generally real estate agents the world over seem to be pretty awful though from experience, those in Perth are particularly vile. Akasully2
Keep your options open and don't pin it down to one agent. Focus on the property instead. As for what you need- proof of income references both professional and neighbourly would be good bank statement As long as you can pay the rent and are a responsible person, you should be fine. Joforward
Hi I work in real estate and agree that most agents are pretty terrible, that is why I got into the industry as I knew I could do a better job! I work in sales but have asked our rental department and was told you need to provide your passport plus Visa, payslip or employment letter. Other than that it really depends on the owner. Do you know what area you want to be in or what you want to spend? I am happy to pass on your details to the leasing manager to see if we have anything. Our office is based in Success but they have rentals in lots of locations. I can promise good old fashioned British service as the owners are from the UK along with a few of their staff including me!! Good luck
Rossmoyne
Stay well away from ACTON Real Estate...... is the best advice I can give. Thoroughly unprofessional and rude whoever you have to deal with!
