Erin
I need to renew my sons UK Passport. he has turned 16 and so needs his FIRST ADULT PASSPORT. I did this for my other son when we were in UK . To apply from Australia seems less clear. I had a look at the online application etc and there isn't an option for this. Has anyone used the online application system? Also why do we need to send the Australian passport as well if you have dual? (Children have Australian passports because I am an Australian). I have delayed renewing it because of the chaos that has ensued in the processing of Passports in the UK over the last couple of months. Sigh , why does it have to be so .... Thank you to all
Give me a break!
Have you tried clicking renew child passport then seeing if there are options? Technically he is still a child. Mine ffor my son recently took 8 weeks.
Erin
Yes I have, but it only goes through the applying in UK information.
welljock
We are in the UK but when I renewed (got first adult passport) you select the 'renew adult passport' option. This page >>> https://www.gov.uk/get-a-child-passport says- Children nearly or over 16 years old Your child must apply for a 10-year adult passport if they’ll be 16 within the next few weeks or they’re already over 16. They can apply without getting parental consent.
