Minimal
Hi there, we are a family from West Yorkshire seeking new connection in perth after being here for 4 months. There's myself and my hubby, our 2 and a half yr old son and my 14 yr old daughter who is struggling to settle, she is missing having British friends, similar humour etc She does not like her current school. Looking to move around Leeming area early next yr. We are hoping there are other families with teens who know what it's like to have made the move here and to maybe meet up? Cheers Minimal
ali
My two were 11 and 7 when we moved and adapted that little more easily because of that. I think school plays a major part and we were lucky that the primary school really did help on that score, finding my daughter (the eldest) a pen pal prior to arrival and my son got two 'buddies' on his first day and they're still his best mates at almost 15. Are you in the catchment area for LSH at the moment? Might be worth making the move there earlier if you are, or to organise looking round the school and maybe asking if the school could find a couple of girls interested in 'befriending' your daughter before she arrives?
