Scotty
Hi I have been working in engineering for 5 years now and studying at night school. I recently finished my degree. Do I still get the points for 5 years work experience or does it have to be after my degree? Thanks Scott
DyLeB
Work experience usually has to be post qualification, some instances pre qualification work experience can be used for example accountants - have the degree but not finished becoming chartered. But have seen people lose their application fee when they have tried to use pre-qualification work experience. The is would be a question to be put forward to a RMA for them to assess. Or get work experienced assessed by EA, but DIBP can reject their assessments. It may be work looking for points elsewhere IELTS or state nomination. gar374
I'd say ask one of the agents for a free assessment. They'll deffo be able to answer your questions. Good Luck and well done on the degree. Gareth
