portlaunay Posted August 26, 2014 Report Share Posted August 26, 2014 So today we had our medicals at the Bupa centre in Perth and I just thought I'd share. The staff were excellent, friendly and reassuring and we'd managed to get a fairly early booking but it was really busy and the whole process took two and a half hours for the four of us. By the time we came out there's wasn't a spare seat in the whole place and I'd imagine some would be there a fair while longer than us. There were three stages; the x-ray, bloods and general checks with the nurse and then in to the doctor who had a more detailed chat. We went with a heap of old films and doctors letters but they weren't interested in seeing them so the whole process was really nothing to get worked up about. I was expecting a really thorough workup including torches, probes and a forensic interrogation but aside from the time it took it was all very good. Druid Posted August 26, 2014 Report Share Posted August 26, 2014 Lucky you, we had to go to Medibank in Perth CBD! it was horrible experience, firstly we had to book an appointment, which we did, only to find out when we got there it meant absolutely nothing, we still ended up waiting 2-3 hours, in an overcrowded smelly hot waiting room, we were the only Europeans to make matters worse, it made me wonder if we were in Australia or Bangladesh, the actual medical was very basic, chest x-Ray, bloods and a very quick physical, then more waiting while the X-rays and bloods were looked at, all in all it took about 4 hours and a bucket load of cash for 4 off us, which by the way I used in my tax return Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
