Scotty
Hi Someone on here recommended Go Matilda so I emailed them and got a reply from a Matt Parker. I sent him back the details he asked for about 3 days ago and I have received nothing back. Was wondering if I am just being impatient or he should be getting back to me quicker? Please share some other agent stories with me? What kind of additional costs am I looking at using an agent? Is it worth it or could I do it myself? Thanks Folks
Victoriwa
Hello Scotty We're with GM & initially spoke to Matt also. Just guessing, but depending on what he asked, and what you told him, he may be awaiting advise as to your best visa route and/or skills assessment. Matt asked us about our profession, qualification level, medical issues, family make-up and criminal convictions. He then came back to us with a breakdown of work required & costs involved; we are now liaising with two further agents, who are assisting us with the skills assessment and EOI. It took 1-2 weeks to get to that stage... Hope that helps??! Using an agent will add an additional £1800-2000 to our overall costs, but for us it's worthwhile for the additional assistance and peace of mind, not least because we don't want to get anything wrong and miss out on this opportunity; we're both busy just trying to make life in this country work, so extra help is a godsend That said, if your visa is relatively straightforward & you're not afraid of form filling, then go for it! You can always instruct an agent later down the line... Good luck!!
verystormy
Don't forget they are normal people - take odd days annual leave, go sick and things - it is winter here and colds and flu doing the rounds.
