<Dan>
Apparently from November they are dropping their prices. Which is good for us as we arrive in November. http://www.perthnow.com.au/business/companies/foxtel-cuts-prices-amid-new-competition/story-fnhohek5-1227047817264 So what are the alternatives? in the UK you have Sky, Virgin and I think BT or something. Plimthing
We have Foxtel through Telstra and it's pants. You cannot record certain channels! So i pay extra for the sports for the EPL but have to stay awake to watch them ( midnight,3am 4am ) they failed to mention this when you get signed up for 2 years. nikkiwd
we have a 'Fetch tv' box, comes with the bundle from iinet for $79 per month. Utter crap, can't watch anything at all without upgrading to the entertainment package for an extra $20pm. We don't use it, just use the built in freeview on our tv. elfie
We have a t box for freeview and to download a film now and again. That alone is rubbish the sound distorts after its been on for more than 2 half hours have to knock it off and put it back on and away to go again. It can record all the free view channels. We also have a limited foxtel package no sport or movies as the moto gp is shown on freeview channel 1 not bad coverage of it either although doesnt show moto 2 which is a shame cant get to see the up and coming riders. Compared to sky its pretty lame. The majority of programs are from the UK or USA
Plimthing
Luckily peppa pig is on for the kids! However once they are asleep the best alternative is to open up the beer and wine and make the world go blurry
