MrPomPom
Dear all, We are moving to Perth at the end of December, but I'm going on 10th November for 5 weeks to set up our lives. This will include finding a rental property in the Rossmoyne intake area. Any advice on what documentation I should take with me to make sure I can secure the any particular property we identify as being suitable? Also, is there anything I should do to make us a more attractive tenant? Thanks in advance, Simon
portlaunay
You'll likely get different opinions on what's needed. In our case we just had references, job offer letters, bank details and our passports. I'd say just take everything you've got and wear your nicest smile
Sideshowdeb
If you can prove your income, or offer to pay up front and can prove you have looked after a property in the past then I imagine you'll be fine. We went through this last month and offered all sorts of things, bank statements, mortgage statements, photos of the house we owned. Letting agent only really wanted proof of income and a personal reference. We met lots of letting agents in the first few weeks and none of them asked for anything more than that. Good luck.
