Couple new to perth looking for friends

Hi Guys,

My name is Neal and my partner is call Anna and we are both 28. I am from Bolton and Anna is from the Isle of Man.

We moved to Canberra in July 2013 and decided to move to Perth a year later as this was always our dream.

So far we have been in perth for 3 months and live in Heathridge. Since we arrived we have both been busy with work and settling down in a new house and suburb so we have not had a chance to meet any new friends.

We are both quite outgoing people and sociable. I would like us to meet some couples in a similar age bracket who like to do stuff at the weekend. Anna is very much a girly girl and has missed having girls to go shopping/have drinks with.

I am a Bolton Wanderers fan and i love watching football. I would love to meet some people who like to watch the football etc.

If anyone is interested in meeting up for a coffee or something please let me know.

If there is anything else you would like to know please feel free to ask.

Hiya, we've been here 4 months and are in padbury so not far from you. We are slightly older than you (32 me allie, and 34 hubby wayne) and in a different situation in that we have a toddler and new born but don't put us on the shelf yet!

We still like to socialize and have a few drinks although due to babysitting requirements we tend to go to houses at the moment, but hopefully that's not forever, however, that seems to be a common way around here anyway as its so much cheaper to sit having a few beers in the comfort of your back yard!

We are both from the NW, hubby's from Atherton/leigh and I lived in smithills for a while.

What do you work as? OH is in air-con/refrigeration and im in between jobs at the moment but normally office based of some description!

Anyway, hope you're settling in ok and if you fancy meeting up let me know

Hey,

Thanks for the reply and lovely to meet you. Its nice to meet some other people from the NW. We should definitely meet up for a coffee. I agree about drinks at houses, its so much cheaper and easier. We were down at Hillarys last week and 2 drink came to about $35.

I am a Business Manager in Employment Services and Anna works in residential disability care at the moment but she usually works with women who suffer domestic violence.

Hi!

My husband and I will be moving to Kingsley/Padbury area in two weeks time and so would be great to meet up with you guys once we are settled as we aren't too far from you.

I'm 30 and my husband is 34 so slightly older and like @Bridges we have two little ones in tow. A 1 year old and 2 year old but we are looking forward to socialising and making a good network of friends :-) like Anna I love shopping and I'm so excited that Zara is coming to Perth :-) we both love our coffee and wine as well as being outdoors during the weekends. I'm going straight back to work as front office manager in a 5 star hotel and my husband is staying at home with our girls for the first six months until they are settled then returning to food and beverage management again within the hotel industry.

Hey guys. I am happy to meet up before the King's Park get together but it's up to you guys.

Be lovely to meet you all. Emsy it's lovely to meet you and it sound like you will get in with Anna. We had a zara in canberra.

Cutchibear I went to uni in Preston so I know lancs well.

We can't wait to meet some new people. It can get boring when you are limited for company.

Hey all! Yes a meet up sounds great the weekend of the 10th! We will be severely jet lagged with two little ones in tow but nothing a strong coffee won't sort out and maybe we can choose somewhere with a park to occupy our very active toddler!

One of my best uni mates is from clitheroe! Small world :-) my husband is from Yorkshire (York) and I'm from Northumberland. Sunday 12th October would work best for us, maybe a picnic/BBQ somewhere?

So, for the finer detail...how about 11 sunday? Weathers looking good so far. Are we bringing bbq stuff or just picnic? We've not had the delights of having a bbq in a park yet! Mullaloo has two parks with a big grass verge in the middle, is the pirate ship end ok with everyone? X

Yep still planning on sunday at 11, mullaloo pirate ship end! Going to take bbq stuff and give it a whirl! Only thinking of simple things like burgers and/or saussage as still to get all the stuff required for this outdoor living! Think there will be about 6-8 of us in total. Will make a note of your number. See you Sunday x

Hi guys! Sorry for the late reply. It has been another hectic day...bought a new car and new phones as well as a quick stop at kings park and also at Pinneroo valley park to see the kangaroos, which Ava loved. Yes will see you guys tomorrow! Just look out for the two slightly jet lagged 30 year olds with a 1 year old and 2 year old in tow
