Jen6210
Just wanted to ask has anyone recently got any experience of a container arrival. Ours arrived in Freemantle on the 12th Sept and we have given the removal company our Visa grant letter but still awaiting to hear from them, should we be ringing them or just wait till they get in contact with us. many thanks Jen
Plimthing
it has to get customs clearance first as well as being inspected, they will contact you then, usually with a list of things that are not allowed in unless treated. They will quote for treating or ask if you want to bin items. We had an artificial christmas tree they wanted to treat! apparently the pine cones on the tree were real so wanted us to pay $$$ for treating. Christmas tree went in bin, and we went to Bunnings for a new one! They are quite lethargic with things to put it mildly! In their defence there were probably a few thousand containers on that boat, let alone the other boats that docked that day. I understand your frustration, we were exactly the same last year! They like to take their time with things, if the sun comes out, you can add a few more days on top, work takes second place to sunshine especially if the bbq gets rolled out! Plimthing
won't be too long now, they are just looking for anything that shouldnt be there now. Wait till you have to unpack it all again, then you will wish they still had it lol!

Plimthing
I always worried the ship would be hijacked by Somali pirates and would see them on tv sat on my sofa with my clothes on! Luckily, none of the above happened!
josephrohdes221
Nobody likes uncertainty and it feels just a harassment and irritation with unknown fear of rejection or something getting wrong but still before clearance and inspection by customs nothing can be done. Let's hope for good always.
