<Dan>
Its the night before the packers arrive. The house is a **** hole, stuff everywhere, nothing appears to be organised. We're looking forward to the end of Tuesday when the container leaves! No idea what to expect when they come round tomorrow at apx 9:30. On the plus side, i've cleaned ALL of the tools and tool box.... And I have also been organised and bought one of those boxes you put various screws / wall plugs in and labelled up each section and put the bolts / screws etc from each thing I have taken apart. Which will be fine, unless this box goes missing, then we're screwed (If you excuse the pun). Now time for some wine.

<Dan>
Thanks all. Sadly the fairy's didn't come and sort it all out last night. And the weather had decided to decidedly worse! 50 mph+ winds and torrential downpour.

Guest Guest6235
I'm ringing shippers up today to see when they need to take our stuff to get there around 18th Jan as that's when we leave holiday let. When shippers leave our house we'll be living with my parents.
<Dan>
If I have worked ours out correctly, it should be cleared by the 4th December. Being packed up today, shipped to docks tomorrow and boat leaves on Saturday from Southampton.

<Dan>
If we have timed it right, we should arrive and have a B&B to stay in for two weeks and in that time, sort out a rental for 12 months. Once that's sorted we can get kids in to school before they shut for the summer holidays. So hoping to be in our rental at the end of the first week of December with our container due at the same time. The next 6 weeks are going to be the hardest with a £5 TV, inflatable beds and garden furniture to live with. One the plus side, we do have TV and more importantly, Internet! We are camping in the house (had a £10 TV which blew up - now borrowing a neighbours spare TV) and inflatable beds, fold out camp table with 4 chairs and 2 x £5 camp chairs from Wilko!! Been camping in the house (whilst painting ready to rent out) since 25th and so over minimalist living! The girls still think it is great fun but every time we have a viewing the airbeds get deflated and tucked in a cupboard.... We fly on the 29th and can't wait to get to Perth on 7th November (short stop over in NZ to see my mum). Our container due to arrive on 3rd November and had an email from Kent Removals in Perth to say 12-18 working days to clear quarantine, customs etc. OH still looking for work and getting a little disheartened. We've booked him on courses this week as the UK equivalent don't seem acceptable. Fingers crossed he gets something soon or we will be staying with our friends well into the New Year and lovely though they are I think we'll all go crazy with 2 energetic children underfoot! So glad we have SKY and internet to save our sanity even if it took 40 minutes on LiveChat for OH to convince SKY to cancel our package w.e.f 29 October (they wouldn't speak to me as I'm not the account holder even though I am a named person on the account and have a password.....). Good luck, fellow camper!
<Dan>
We have to cancel our Virgin and 3x mobile contracts which is a pain as they all have 6 months left to run.

Woken up at 2 am with a Thunderstorm, luckiluy there is clear blue skies outside now although both the wife and I are both ill today so its going to be a battle to get it all finished. Packers are due in 45 mins. Still loads to clean and pack. I'm going to miss that coffee machine Boxes everywhere, dust everywhere, stuff everywhere!!
