Hi we are looking to make new good friends. I am 42. My husband is 48. We have 3 children. 2 girls 20 and 18 and a son 14. We have lived in Perth Hillarys area for 5 years. We own our own business so haven't had much time to socialise. My husband like Man United and plays pool. I love a good natter over a bottle of wine or cuppa. Like to BBQ and eating out. If anyone would like to meet up please message me.

Look forward to speaking to you Paula

Hi Paula, we live in Mindarie but originally from Standish nr Wigan. We have lived in Perth for twelves months and are thoroughly enjoying it, however we miss our friends back in the UK so we would love to make some new friends here in Perth. We are a similar age to yourselves with two grown up boys. Phill (hubby) likes playing pool, fishing & golf & I like a good natter too over a nice bottle of wine. We are free most weekends if you would like to meet up. Vicky

Hi Vicky, Meeting up would be great. We know Standish area. We used to go to a bar called Henry Africa's many years ago, and a pub called The Owls. We also miss our friends back in the UK.its really hard making friends that you click with. We too are free most weekends so would be great to arrange to meet you. We can do the Dome at Mindarie if you fancy as we go there quite a lot.

Hi Vicky,

Just wondering how old your boys are as our 18 year old son desperately needs to meet some boys as he is bored stiff at the moment. Keeps talking about going back to the UK (we've only been here 6 weeks tho).

I've PM'd cainyp then read this post afterwards...

Hi, I have just come on 'Poms in Perth' for the first time, as I am new to the Hillarys area (1 month). I looked at your post and wondered if you would be able to answer my questions about the local schools in the area. I too have a 14 year old (daughter) who has started Duncraig SHS. She is finding it a little tough adjusting to the move and we are wondering if the school is any good academically, compared to the local private schools. With three children, I assume that you have a good idea about the local secondary education. I would love to meet up for a chat at Flinders, if you are available during the day sometime.

Hi Angela,My son also goes to Duncraig, he is also in year 8. He's is called Daniel Cain hes in 8h your daughter might have met him. When we arrived 5 years ago we went to most of the high schools in the area including Private schools. At the time we had a daughter going into year 8 and year 10. Duncraig was the only one that could take both girls. They did really well at Duncraig and both graduated. When Dan had to choose a high school I had no concerns about the school. It's a good school and the grades are high. They are looking eventually at it becoming a private school we have been told. We live just behind Flinders so a coffee would be great.

thanks Paula
