final batch of paperwork (hopefully) - done

So, we had and email a couple of weeks ago saying DIAC were busy and not to expect a CO for up to 16 weeks from visa application.

Then last week, we got asked by our CO to do police checks and medicals. That was only 8 weeks, not 10 as expected and certainly not 12-16. Was a great surprise, really put a smile on my face having been on a downer expecting to hear very little before Xmas.

So yesterday, Ellen and I sat down and filled out the forms for police checks x 3, and medicals x 4.

 

All quiet then a hive of activity, that seems to be how this process goes.

Now we're waiting again, this time for the police checks to come back and also until we can go for the medicals.

 

Feels so close now.

G, our visa application was submitted on 14 Nov and our agent received an email on 16 Nov asking for more info & for us to do the police checks & medicals. The PCs were sent off on Friday & Meds were done on Sat. Other info taking longer (various solicitors and accountant to get info requested) but hopefully we'll have altogether for the deadline of 14 Nov. Didn't expect to get visa until at least Mar-Apr but looks like it may be a lot sooner!!
