we are visiting perth over the xmas period. we are staying in Kinross, Quinns rock?? whats it like?

if anybody knows of any events on over xmas for family with children plz let us know?

this is our first steps of moving to oz we just testing the water first! thanks x

So which one is it Quinns or Kinross, they are a good few miles apart, we are in Burns Beach opposite Kinross, Perth city is a buzz around xmas, theres nothing much around here, Joondalup, Hillarys & Karrinyup put on a good show, Fremantle is a good one too, for new years eve you have to go to Northbridge, its great for kids, but make sure you leave around 10ish, it gets silly after then

Far from a buzz, most like expats it never feels like christmas,

visiting from the UK for the first time it will feel exciting going down the beach and seeing people in Santa hats etc, give it a couple of years and it wears off.. Coming from the UK you won't notice a buzz like a UK city. If christmas felt like Christmas in perth there wouldn't be Christmas in July ..!

hi, there is street I think in connally that everyone visits to see the christmas lights in the gardens, it has a good buzz about it. You will find there is not the same buzz as here in the dark uk, make sure if you see something you want for christmas to get it then, else it will be gone ie christmas trees, lights etc.

but you will find a great buzz for Australia Day if you are still there

Oh, yes, actually... Look up where the Christmas streets are! The streets where most residents do up their houses in all sorts of lights and designs. There is one in Harrisdale where Santa's sleigh is pulled by kangaroos! It requires a bit of driving around, but it really is a fun time :)
