zoe009 Posted January 19, 2015 Report Share Posted January 19, 2015 Can anyone put my mind at rest, I am becoming concerned regarding jobs in finance I currently work for Phillips 66 formely Conoco oil refinery in the UK as a Financial Analyst and I am hoping to work for a refinery on arrival at Perth but I hear there our lots of jobs losses in oil and gas. Is this true? Will I be best trying to find work to gain some Australian expereince first before apporaching a large company? Oil and Gas are winding down some of their projects and currently tightening it's belt which inevitably means more lay offs but it doesn't mean you won't find work in the sector if they're looking for someone and you have the relevant experience.
