robhelen
if you apply for a skilled 189 visa and then go through the whole proses, get granted the visa, do you have to work in that skilled job for a certain length of time or even at all????? as you can probably tell we are very new to all this
beandownunder
a 189 visa is assessed on your chosen career but once it's granted you have permanent residency and can do what you like! as far as I know there's no one checking up what you do for a living- hope you get all the answers you need form this forum. we applied and got granted our 189 without an agent, just by using fabulous advice from great people on here... I actually can't currently work in my chosen field as since i started they have changed the rules and although they will let me in cos of my profession, i can't actually work in it. very strange system if you ask me!
