Our major client has ongoing opportunities for Experienced Diamond Drillers with underground roles across WA. With an attractive salary (above industry standard), a 2 weeks on & 1 week off swing with excellent camp accommodation. This role is offers an immediate start for the right applicants with long term prospects. With potential for further career development and possible future placements across Australia this role would suit someone looking to progress their career within the Resources sector.

The main purpose of the role is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of drill rigs in the day to day operations. This is done through the provision of manual tasks including the monitoring of, and adherence to, safety procedures, breakdown and setup of drill rigs and the packing and presentation of core for the delivery to client.

As a Diamond Driller you will be required to be fit and healthy as the 12 hour shifts are physically and mentally demanding. You are also required to maintain a safe and clean environment paying particular attention to pre start and end of shirt checks. A major element of the role is to train the offsider in the safe and productive operation of the rig and help them to achieve the desired requirement of becoming a driller.

To be considered for the role, candidates will need to meet the following criteria;

 

• Minimum 12 months experience as a trained driller
  
• Minimum Cert II in Drilling Operations
  
• Working knowledge of drill rig performance and capabilities, including functions of controls, gauges, warning lamps and emergency procedures
  
• Ability to operate drill rig safely and understand all drill rig safety features
  

Pre-requisites

 

• Current Police clearance 6 months or less
  
• Ability to pass Pre employment medical
  
• Safety orientated
  
• Must be living in WA to be considered
  
• Current C Class Driver’s licence
