GKKL
You won't automatically get paid at level 2, you will automatically be paid at level 1.9 (9+years qualified) to get level 2 pay you will need to apply for level 2 positions same as applying for band 6 posts in uk. Hope that helps
pegg
yep thats what i meant i would be applying for level 2 ;o) when i spoke to hospital about level 1 ... they said level 2 but obviously wont know untill later in year etc . thanx
ali
Not a lot of level 2 positions get advertised and tend to be promotional. You may have to consider applying for the level 1 positions to get your foot in the door. There will then probably be opportunities to act up into the level 2 positions and being able to apply when advertised particularly if you're looking at ward work. Community posts tend to be level 2 positions

pegg
Hi , i had been in contact with princess margaret hospital but would be looking at the new perth childrens hospital . But to be honest its all been a mass of wrong information and " going round the house's" many a time! Anyhow i feel now i have the right advice , we are using an agent ... we are looking at permanent residency..... topping up my degree .... etc etc We first came out to WA a good few years ago where our freinds emigrated to Bunbury ( and we loved it ) . Soo any advice will always be welcome ....... although my other half is still worrying about being able to afford to buy a home ;o) Thankjs again Lisa Was it a private hospital? verystormy
Do remember that from last month, if your position is a replacement of someone then the new WA state funding rules mean you will only be offered a salary that is 90% of the last position holder. The 10% reduction applies to nurses, police and teachers. Other state funded roles are cut by 40%.
