Dano169
Hi everyone, Well things are going to plan at the minute. I am hoping to move over to Perth sometime early next year with my wife and our 3 year old son . I am applying for a 189 visa as a painter and decorator. We are using an agent called concept Australia who have been really good so far. I have had to get a lot of paperwork together that has been fairly stressful but we are there now . I have my IELTS next Saturday and have been doing a lot of revision so fingers crossed. Then next up is my AQFIII followed by my skills assessment. We really hope that we can get the 189 visa as we both dream of living in Australia and raising our son there. Well we will be doing everything we can to make it happen and all being well our dreams can come true.
gar374
Hi Dano, Welcome to the forum, I'm sure you'll get a lot of good advice here. I know I have. Good luck with the IELTS, its not fun but I found knowing what to expect made a big difference. I got the 8's I needed on the second attempt! I know what you mean about the paperwork. I was fortunate, I wasn't working when we were doing all our paperwork so I had time on my hands to get it all sorted out. It is stressful though. Then you have the selling the house and moving to another country stress too! ;-) All the best Gareth

benj1980
Let the fun begin Dano! It's not a quick process (in my experience) but hopefully will be worth it! Speaking to a mate today he's been busy on the beach all day socialising with other families, can't be bad!
