Cara
Hi everyone Just looking for a bit of information... We are currently in the visa application processes and I thought I would post to see if anyone knew how sought after Carpenters are in Perth. Reading all the information, they are one of the skilled jobs that Australia are screaming out for, but from reading other posts on here (about bricklaying) I am concerned that these different skilled jobs are not as needed much as we thought! Any info would be fab Thanks Cara

Cara
Hi Druid, thanks for the link will look at it with hubby tonight. We know there are a lot of listed carpentry jobs roles available but from reading another's post on here, it seemed there is less work than portrayed and they were struggling to find a job. Will keep looking into it. Thanks again.
Raychelsb
Hi cara, my husbands a carpenter and we moved here last year. Not sure if we were lucky but he got a job within two days, still in it now, plus an offer on the mines and other job offers. I can't decide myself if we were lucky or if there are a lot of jobs! But we have a link on carpenter jobs on seek.com.au and there's always loads, although many are casual, I must say the permanent jobs are fewer. But I have to say, we feel over here that my hubby could get a job relatively easily if he lost his current one, albeit it may be casual, but he would have struggled in the UK doing that. Good luck and feel free to pm me for any more help or info.
