Just wanted to share my exciting news - this morning I was offered a wonderful job working as the Volunteer Coordinator for Ronald McDonald House in Perth. I do a very similar role for a children's hospice in the UK so I am totally made up and obviously accepted! Start 6th July after we arrived on the 1st so quick turnaround!! I will be based in Subiaco initially but the hospital and house are relocating to Nedlands come November (those of you already out there are probably aware of the new build!). So we now have a base to work from....I know we won't be able to afford to live Nedlands way but could anyone advise on childcare in that area? Our son will be 22 months when we arrive so will be looking at nurseries close to where I am working. Any advice/experience would be most appreciated! Thanks in advance! I only know what they told me in interview - your friend who works at PMH is probably more clued up! the location of the new hospital/house looks amazing over looking the park Good luck @Ashlenelouise ! Was the interview with a hospital there? Perhaps @Lou8670 you may be able to advise more affordable areas NOR that are easy to commute to/from Subiaco/Nedlands? Childcare is available at PMH so I assume it will be at PCH too but not sure if it is restricted to staff only (I don't know who you will actually be employed by in your job).
