LoopyLauren
Any comments welcome, We are shipping about half a 20ft container worth of stuff. Our bedroom furniture is a set and we like it. I am aware the OZ houses tend to have fitted wardrobes. The question goes to those of you out there, Shall I ditch the wardrobe here? I won't get much for it, hence why I was considering taking it. ( I can guarantee, If we don't take it, we will move into a house without fitted wardrobes!) is that likely??? Lauren
Raychelsb
For what it will cost to bring it, I would bring it. We don't have fitted wardrobes and they aren't that common here to buy, we are using drawers and those crappy metal clothes rails!
Bouncy
In not bringing ours but then I don't like them either so happy to ditch! If I liked them I would take them! When are you going again @LoopyLauren?

ali
One of our bedrooms doesn't have a fitted wardrobe so bring It if you like it - you can always use it in the garage for storage
Bouncy
Ooooh, we will be going just before that @LoopyLauren. When I pluck up the courage to book that is!!
flatpack
Most, if not all houses have fitted wardrobes. We knew that when we were moving out but still brought a wardrobe that matched a set. Furniture is Oz is pretty expensive and on the whole is about the same quality as the crap MFI used to sell. If I were you I'd bring it with you and if you don't need it get shut here! newjez
Older houses, often in the more expensive areas often don't have wardrobes. But saying that, there is an IKEA. Plus as mentioned, you could use it in garage. Will it survive the trip?
Nic964
I wouldn't bother myself. We picked up antique wardrobes on Gumtree for next to nothing, and in fact one was on the side of the road for free!!! Australia seems to have a very migrant workforce, and with WA in recession, people are moving away. That means there's a lot of "stuff" being given away, people just sell up and go. So only bring what you truly want, ans the rest pick it up when you here. Best of luck. Nick
