wolfie
Hi, may seem a strange question on PP. we are going back to the UK late September for a holiday after 3 years in Perth. However, we have also booked a package holiday to Orlando going from the UK during this visit. 4 days in UK, 2 weeks in Orlando, 6 days back in UK, then back to Perth! I'm sure we'll be frazzled at the end of it! Question is, regarding purchasing tickets for Disney and universal, what is the best way to buy them? does have anyone have any experiences of this purchasing from Oz? I am thinking of transferring money to our UK bank account, then purchase from a UK site via our UK Bank card and have the tickets sent to family in the UK. Other option is purchase via our Australian bank card, either via AUS site, U.S. Site, or UK site. appreciate feedback.
Laz
I'd go with transferring money to the UK and buying through Floridatix or similar. I doubt there's a big market for online tickets here so they're probably offered as part of a package. I guess you've been before?
Lou8670
Have you been to see a travel agent over here? Australia seem to still book through a shop rather than online and they just might be able to get you a better deal.
verystormy
One thing to save some cash. If you sign up for a timeshare seminar - normally a couple of hours of waffle early on a morning, they throw in free tickets to different parks. We got Disney and universal for free doing that. They also drop you at the park afterwards.
JasonM
Let me know what works out the best. I love going to Florida and although they have a Disney in Japan not sure if it will be as good.

JasonM
When you guys go you will have to let me know if you find it a bit chilly with the temperature being cooler than Perth, would seem weird seeing people walk around with jeans and a jumper

jackiemcg17
Last time we went to Florida, we bought our tickets online and collected them from the guest services on production of our email confirmation/receipt. We used a company called Orlando Attractions who offer the option of either hard tickets or online certificates. Excellent service from them at a very competitive price. x

I don't know when you were last there but you get a card which holds your ticket, fast passes etc. You download an app on your iPad and you can plan your trip to a tee before you go! That's what I did and we never ever queued long for rides.... We were there last October. And if the OP is reading this then I'd add my tip that it's worth getting fast passes for Wishes. Though temps have been mild - stayed in the teens. But forecast back into single figures tomorrow night.
duffieldtowers
If you are shopping, I got back yesterday from a couple of weeks working in Orlando, Spending GBP is cheap. Aussie $$$ is expensive. My universal guide is the RL Polo shirt. 64$ at the mall at iHop stop 1. PS I like Macy's - give them your passport and get 10 % off.
