verystormy
Yes, assuming she can pass the skills assessment.

verystormy
I am good thanks. Got some contracting work. Hate it to the extent I actively dread going back. Put at least the bills are getting paid.

verystormy
Geologist for a small gold company. casual and not good pay. Oil and gas are struggling at the moment.
mwjw
Sorry to hear that, suppose as long as youre working its something. We found it tough for work, Stephs casual so we dread the work running out as there isn't much here, where we are. Still loving oz though?!!! verystormy
To be honest, the lack of work has me now mainly looking at jobs back in the UK. We have already used all our savings in the periods of me having no work just to pay the bills. We learned the lesson that social security here is far from generous. Our total weekly benefit entitlement is $420 a week and that includes rent assistance. Now, with a mortgage we wouldn't even get that, which in turn is not even close to paying my mortgage. We like it here, we love our new home. But there is so little work about. I might have a contract in South Korea on a FIFO role from oz for 4-5 months which would be good as it would mean enough money to see us through for a fair while afterwards.
