Hey,

My sister and I need some help, im trying to get here over here!!! Shes a fully trained heath and care worker, but has had a baby and been off work for 9 months. Can she still apply for a Visa, her job is on the list?

I am good thanks. Got some contracting work. Hate it to the extent I actively dread going back. Put at least the bills are getting paid.

That's good...what kind of work? My husband still looking....been talk of contracts in his field (with a large oil and gas company) but then the jobs get pulled....They are all super impressed with his CV but alas no one hiring....

To be honest, the lack of work has me now mainly looking at jobs back in the UK. We have already used all our savings in the periods of me having no work just to pay the bills. We learned the lesson that social security here is far from generous. Our total weekly benefit entitlement is $420 a week and that includes rent assistance. Now, with a mortgage we wouldn't even get that, which in turn is not even close to paying my mortgage. We like it here, we love our new home. But there is so little work about.

I might have a contract in South Korea on a FIFO role from oz for 4-5 months which would be good as it would mean enough money to see us through for a fair while afterwards.
