JoeB
I'm flying to Perth tomorrow to start my new life. All the time leading up to today I've felt a few emotions but mostly its been excitement. Today however I am a total wreck and simply do not want to board that plane tomorrow. I can't eat, sleep and break down every 2 minutes. Suppose I'm just hoping to find someone who's felt in a similar way before they made the big move. It's took me by surprise how I feel today. JenPen
Oh Joe I am sure there are so many people out there that feel this way!! I have been nervous and excited and dreading it all randomly but my parents sold their house very swiftly and are moving tomorrow 3hrs away (all down to me going to oz as they have nothing where we all currently live when we go).....today has been difficult I have cried loads - I guess it has been the first step for me and the goodbyes and the actual reality of it!! No matter where in the process of the move I am sure every single perosn has felt this way at some point or another! Good luck with your flight and keep us posted x
ali
I think I spent the last two weeks in the UK constantly crying with the goodbyes, yet I was so excited too. It provides a very bitter sweet moment. I think the majority of us will have been there Joe, when you get on the plane take a deep breath, tell yourself "this is it" and order yourself a drink for having got through the whole emigrating saga ... you'll deserve it. dxboz
Think most people feel like that Joe. Try to think of it as just a holiday - a new adventure and that it's not for ever. You can always go back. Hope you have a good flight.
jo and scott
ive not felt sad at all, just really excited, we are hoping to fly out mid September so we have started having leaving do's now as we will be booking flights last minute, so last week I spent the week with my friend on holiday, just us and our kiddies, for the first time I got really upset, im not ready to say goodbye to my bestie yet so im going back down to see her for another 5 days in 2 weeks. she lives 3 hours away :-( 2 years its taken us to get our visa which was granted in may, so its been a long time coming. good luck with your flight, hugs too. x
Tigerbalm
This was me 2 weeks ago. As soon as I walked through to departures it was like a weight had been lifted. Since I've been here I've had a couple of panicky moments about not knowing anyone and not having a job but I just tell myself it's early days so calm down! Nothing like the way I felt before I left. The 2 days before I left was definitely the worst bit of the whole process. You will be fine!

DVHM14
We fly a week today and had a big leaving BBQ at the weekend. I'm still OK at the minute only cried leaving one friend. I know it's going to Kill me on Sunday saying bye to my mum, dad and sister. I've mainly been super excited throughout but I did start panicking yesterday. I have my brother in law and sister in law over there and they have a big family that I've met and I have a couple of friends an hour away but it won't be the same as having all my besties. Just gotta hope it all works out. X
