RayW
Hello, I wonder if anyone can assist please. I am struggling to locate any information on whether you can purchase property in WA while you are waiting for a parent visa.Any information would be helpful - thank you Hi, we are moving over on parent visa in Oct but have activated visa and purchased land back in June when last there. Think you need to be PR to qualify for first time buyers 10K grant. think extra hoops to jump thru' if visa not granted yet. Have been thru the process so if you need anymore just ask. Jannette1
Thank you Ray, I am unsure as to what you mean by being "PR" On a separate note how long did your visa take?
Daveakaginge
We are on a 457, and we have bought. At out age, renting would of been throwing money away, so here we are, snug in our own 4x2 with pool, on a fairly large plot, by a golf course......a millionaire lifestyle
RayW
Thank you Ray, I am unsure as to what you mean by being "PR" On a separate note how long did your visa take? PR - Perm Resident, it took 19/20 months to get contrib parent visa approved after applying.

New Life Down Under
Hello, I wonder if anyone can assist please. I am struggling to locate any information on whether you can purchase property in WA while you are waiting for a parent visa.Any information would be helpful - thank you HI Jannette One of my clients bought in a Retirement Village when BVA kicked in whilst waiting 15 years for Aged Parent. You need FIRB approval though. Will be on BVA for 15-20 years but all is good, we have full reciprocal Medicare. great private health insurance which has nearly fully paid for a month in top private hospital. Nearly $50K is a lot to pay when you are 79 years old!
