Scotty
Hi everyone, I am just looking for a bit of advice. My education history is a bit of a legacy to be honest. When I left school I went to Aberdeen Uni for 3.5 years but I flunked out and did not get my degree (totally regretted it later). 8 years later, after doing every job under the sun, I decided it was time to sort my life out and get my degree. I applied to Robert Gordons University to do my degree at night school but I was told that I would have to go to college first to do some access classes as what I had previously done at Aberdeen Uni did not count for anything as they had lapsed due to the time gap. I went to college and did 3 years out of the final year of the HND in Mechanical Engineering so that I could get into night school at RGU but I only got awarded the classes and not the HND. I then went to RGU night school and achieved my degree BEng Mechanical and Offshore Engineering. I wrote a CDR for Engineers Australia and it states that my degree is equivalent to an Australian degree. MY CDR was for Engineering Technician but I received an email asking if I would mind if they assessed me as a Professional Engineer due to my work experience, great news! So the Engineers Australia letter states that I am a Professional Engineer and my degree at RGu is equivalent to an Australia degree. My question is - should I detail my other classes in my online application or should I just detail degree? I am leaning towards just detailing my degree as I believe the above is just a confusing story!! Please help!! Nearly there though
DyLeB
You should probably include the module transcripts/certificate from when you were at college, and your degree certificate and transcripts. It is your full further education history they are looking at even if the points are not assessed for the qualifications you did at college.
