verystormy Posted April 2, 2016 Report Share Posted April 2, 2016 oh, you really don't know WA yet. It is often refered to as Wait Awhile. With some good reason. The South West in particular is notorious. Also, a lot of this depends on the net. But this is a region infamous for bad internet and even those that have been connected to the NBN don't have great connection and most internet providers have fairly small broadband caps. Its also comparatively expensive. Most of the South West is also reliant on Telstra as a provider - as is pretty much all of regional Australia. Telstra were the equivalent of BT. But imagine designing a communications company that you design in every thing bad you possibly could - crap connections, connections that drop out half the day, expensive and limited and you still wont get close to Telstra. I used to work until December in one of the larger towns in the SW - Norseman. We were lucky if we could get any form of internet for half a day at a time and that was slower than I have had using a cheap sat dish in the middle of the African jungle!
