JobyJo 18 Report post Posted June 9, 2016 So after 17 weeks of waiting for an answer (because of a mess up with the agent and ANMAC) today I received the answer I've been dreading and I can't understand it. So, I qualified in 1997 under project 2000. I have a diploma and a degree but because my school of nursing has closed down and I can't provide them with a transcript of my theory modules and practice hours they have declined. Despite the university that I was affiliated to sending them a project 2000 syllabus and a covering letter. I sent a cv with my 20 years experience in critical care and medical nursing but apparently it all goes back to whether I can prove if I did a module in biology and had a certain amount of practice hours as a student 20 YEARS AGO. Has any one else who trained under project 2000 had any problems. Any ideas what I can do? My kids are so disappointed and I'm feeling like the dream may be ending? Any ideas gratefully received. ? wee_me 10 Report post Posted June 9, 2016 Hi the information you are looking for is somewhere! Were you at an old school of nursing with a university providing your degree? I was project 2000 and that's what I had- old school of nursing (in an old asylum) with degree provided by Strathclyde Uni. The uni that provided your degree will have the information on file To get registered the school would have had to send your academic and placement info to the old UKCC (NMC). I'm not being funny but your agent should have this sorted for you try the NMC and see what they have from your entry to register
ali 189 Report post Posted June 9, 2016 I actually trained before P2000, and my syllabus was under the old ENB - the NMC searched the archives and sent me a copy (although this was before the rules changes). Did they actually receive the syllabus? It might be worth checking with them and also contacting the NMC and asking them If they have a copy and can give a statement? JobyJo 18 Report post Posted June 22, 2016 I have spoken to the NMC but they don't hold transcripts anymore and re direct you to the uni. Not helpful when it's closed. However I spoke to someone different at NMC this week who did some investigation and found where my transcript could be held since my old uni closed. I've emailed them so fingers crossed they will have it. ANMAC have pretty much said this is all they need so hopefully in the next couple of weeks I should get an answer. Still on plan to get to Perth by August 2017!!

I can just imagine how frustrated you are.... when I was running a recruitment program in UK for teachers to come to WA ( years ago now...) this was one of the things that used to come up now and again. I still don't understand why UK universities do not issue transcripts of every degree granted. I do hope you are successful in getting the information that you need @JobyJo
