Guest k-winst
firstly sorry to spam! i poseted this in real estate also as im unsure well it will best get seen! iv introduced myself before but its coming 2 crunch now! does anybody have rental advise for me? i assumed that smack in the city centre would be ideal for me however for what i want, bars, clubs n restaurents and 2 build a social circle northbridge and subiaco have been suggested 2 me! i thought that 2 live in walking distance of work (Shafto Lane , 880 Hay St) would be ideal for me but maybe to live out a little and get a car 2 drive to work would be my best option?! i cant stress enough how making friends etc will have the largest impact on me staying permanently or going home back to manchester a failure! i want to come and stay and am making the trip with the best intensions. please advise
Guest suzy+1
HI there, only been here a month myself and not been out yet (due to young child and lack of babysitters) but i have also heard that subi and northbridge are good social places (i think i would prefer subi myself) and you wouldnt need a car to get to work (unsure of parking in CBD)-it would be about 5 mins on a bus from those areas.when you've found some good places to go out-let me know they are! suzy
Guest Taffjet
Hope you are managing to settle in OK, I work in the CBD and live between Leederville and Northbridge so the bus into work only takes 5-10 mins and the social life is pretty good for restaurants, coffee shops and bars. Subiaco is a nice place to live but very expensive so I've found West Perth to be the best of both worlds. Let me know if you are still looking for somewhere as I know a 2 bed cottage going for rent next door to us and its quite nice and reasonably priced for the area. speak soon Joanne
