Guest Pamela Campbell McGuigan
Hi This is my first post so please be gentle with me, you will probably see me posting a lot more now that I've started. We are coming to Perth from Scotland and are waiting for the visas to go through just now but looking at November time for our arrival. Fingers crossed! We are getting everything organised with regards removals and shipping our belongings to Perth. My husbands company will be paying for the first 4 weeks accommodation and we have been trying to think of the best way to organise this and then the transition to our own long term let. We are the proud parents of 5, 3 and 1 year old so are wanting to limit the amount of upheaval that we put our children through. We were looking at Mindarie or Quinns Rocks as our preferred suburb and have let the Co. know this. Having looked ourselves we realise that furnished properties are a lot more expensive than unfurnished and since we will have to wait up to 12 weeks for our furniture to be relocated we really are finding it difficult to attempt to make decisions about how to rent in Perth! Has anyone done it like this ie with 3 young children and having your first month paid by your co? We just need some insight as to how to do this. Any advice will be appreciated! Guest sunnywa
You have 2 options, continue in the same rental as the company has set you up in until your container arrives. , or find an unfurnished rental and perhaps rent the furniture you require for the next 8 weeks. Bear in mind that renting in Dec/Jan is quite difficult as people dont really move for Christmas, and it holidays here in January as school only go back in Feb. Hope this helps , if you need contact details for renting furniture please let me know. Regards Sunny
