Guest allic1978
Hiya everyone. My name's Alli and I have been in Perth with my husband and 2 girls for 5 weeks now after relocating from the south of england. We've been living in Hillarys for 2 weeks and we are finally getting back to some sense of normality and desperately awaiting our container! Our two girls are Morven who is 4 and Lexi who is 8. Lexi has started school and is loving it but Morven doesn't start kindy until next week and she is only doing 2 days which I believe is quite normal. Poor morven is getting thoroughly bored so Im hoping that there are some local mums with kids around the same age who fancy a playdate and a coffee? If so please get in touch we would love to hear from you Alli
Guest beckyinwoodlands
Hi Alli, I know just how you feel. My little boy (3 and half) was attending school nursery back in the Uk three days a week and now he has to wait till Feb to start kindy.... it's like a switch has been switched on and he needs constant input. He too is thoroughly bored. I know they're not the same age but if you get to breaking point let me know! (I posted a similar post earlier today about the very same thing so fingers crossed!) Cheers Becky PS. I've just signed up to this website http://www.buggybuddys.com.au... no idea what its like but it may be fruitful. Good luck! Guest allic1978
Hiya Becky, really lovely to hear from you. Oh its nice to know there are some other little ones climbing the walls lol. How long have you been out here? Where have you come from? We arrived about 6 weeks ago and have just found a house in hillarys but still awaiting our container and living out of 4 suitcases!. Do you fancy meeting up with the kids sometime then? I know there is a bit of an age difference but morven wouldn't mind at all and I think company of another little person would be just what she needed. Guest chezzle
Hi Cozzy's Just noticed your post, we too are hopefully gonna move over to Oz next year, Perth by preference if possible,it just lies on whether my husband secures a job offer there. We are still at the researching stage but if everything goes according to plan, We live in Ireland and we hope to move within the next 6-8 months. We also like yourselves have three children (13, 9 & 6) so would be great to share experiences along the way. x

Hi Alli, Sorry for not replying sooner... i keep missing the thread updates! I think we arrived at around the same time. We're still waiting for our container which has been delayed for an extra 2 weeks... groan. Would be great to meet up and swap tips on living out of a suitcase (!) and let the kids run off some steam. Happy to pop up to Hillarys Beach (such a lovely beach) or Floreat Beach is a really lovely beach with playground and coffee shop. Maybe some of the other mums who see this post or have replied fancy meeting up too... the more the merrier! Bye for now Becky

We are settling in ok, loving the weather so nice after the summer we had at home. Dreading this week a little as the car goes back tomorrow and we are stuck all the way out in Meeriwa.
