Guest tottenhamjohn
Hi ya, I have friends who have 3 kids, 7 and under. They are returning to Perth in November and have chosen Tapping as the place to settle. We too are hoping to return next year and considering Tapping. I have 2 , 15 and 13.When we were all out there back in 09 we all lived in Yanchep, which was a big mistake. It was just that bit to far out and very quiet. We know of a family who live in Tapping, who rented first then built 2 doors down. If you ever watched any of the Wanted Down Under series then you may recognise their name, it was the Larner Family.Paul and Gemma appeared 2 or 3 times on the programme, when they done the revisited. Paul is a fantastic bloke, very friendly and always helpful. ( Little bald headed fella , with glasses and a gold tooth) Ring any bells ?? We actually became friends with him, just by asking for friendship on Facebook and asking loads of question before we first went out. Our friends who are returning in Nov are the Denhams, a lovely family. You would find Michelle on Poms in Oz. If fancy chatting to her, just say TJ told you to get in touch. Hope this has helped in anyway. TJ
Arwen
Anyone give me a heads up on what it's like in Tapping (family of 4 with two children aged 7 and 4). It is a fairly new suburb with new housing if you like that sort of thing. The school has now been split into 2 schools as the suburb grew so quickly. It is about 5-10 mins drive to Joondalup. A few little shops in Carramar but for most things you would have to come to Joondalup. High School is Wanneroo SHS which doesn't enjoy the best of reputations. You may think you don't need to worry about that but private schools can have long waiting lists so high school should be considered IMO at this stage. I couldn't live there, too far out for me and I am not a lover of new houses but it may suit your requirements.
