Guest Jeri
Thanks Carlie.. I'm going abit beserk at the moment.. my children are highly amused lol.. I can't believe it happened so quickly.. and NOW it feels so real. We have to sell our place first which has not been as easy as we first thought.. but as soon as its sold, a month (two max) after that hand-over.. we will be getting those tickets. We are going to rent around Joondalup, Quinns Rock.. or to be honest, not sure.. we are so confused about it all.. so we will probably rent a holiday home for a few weeks until we know the area/s and know where hubby will work and the kids schools ect. We are crossing everything for a xmas, new years Aussie style.. but it looks like we may have another last winter here too. lol You must be so excited too?? Gosh, its mad to think we could all just go to the airport tonight, jump on a plane and start our Aussie adventure. How on earth am I suppose to concentrate now on anything lmol. Heres to Aus. Where you planning on going? x
Guest carlieanne
Same as u joondalup, quinns rock!!! ooo getting goose bumps writing it out cant believe its actually happening its been a long road to get here and now we just cant wait, we are gonna rent our house out so not got to wait but will take a bit to get work sorted my hubbies a mechanic and has his own garage and need to get that all finalised. Love the idea of jumping on a plane tonight though will have to keep in touch would be good to know a few contacts when we get their where abouts are you from?? We live in beverley in yorkshire .... not for long eeekkkkk!!! xxx
Guest Jeri
We live in walton on thames, surrey.. although my hubby is from NZ and I'm from SA (been here about 14 years) and have two little monkeys 3 and 5... my hubby is a scaffolder/foreman and I'm a photographer, and we are literally getting rid of everything and going with 4 suitcases and starting fresh.. so we want rid of our place as we don't want any dramas when we are so far away... Meet you at the airport later.. lmol still shaking I'm so happy. DEFO KEEP IN TOUCH HUN.. It will be fab to meet up on the otherside xxxxxx

Guest Lucy G
I know it is really hard - you go around with a stupid deft grin on & no one can really understand apart from those who have been there! We've got a bit of a slog ahead getting everything together to actually get there but who cares we have the paperwork!! My husband and I just kept grinning at each other randomly saying "we've got our VISA" x
Guest Jeri
lol.. its amazing... and I can just see us doing the same... it will certainly help us all through the winter I guess. I also know what you mean about it being a bit of a slog before actually getting there (I can't wait till we are sitting on the sand, watching the sun setting with a bottle of champers)... but until then.. arrrrgh, so much to do. At least, with xmas and new years ect.. it will be even more special knowing the adventure you are going on next year. aaaaahhhhhh

Guest carlieanne
Oh my god Jeri just been trying to write a list of all the things we need to do before feb.......my head is spinning:err: xx
Guest Suziepops
Hi Congratulations on getting your visa's, what a wonderful feeling, it seems ages since we got ours, talk about lists, they're everywhere for everything.. mind mashing! We fly out to Perth in 16 days, turning the house into a holiday let, so much to do, flights & temp accommodation booked only just! Swear down I met myself around the last corner, it's stressful, nerve wracking, exciting, daunting and many other emotional feeling going on, only sleeping a few hours as the mind goes into overdrive, bet we sleep well on the flight as it's overnight. Need to find time to say our goodbyes, hope I don't forget anyone! Carpet cleaners are here as I type this, still got the removal list to fill in for next Monday, can't believe I have to count books and every item individually, we're not taking much so you'd think it would be easy. (Note to self) Must remember to sell the car! Discussions in the household start off nicely only to become a tad heated, that's the stress so we take it in turns to have some me time. I too walk about with a permanent grin, if only they knew..... Good luck with all your plans, your journeys are just beginning
smoggie
Suziepops - good luck with everything and dont let the stress get to you ( ha easy for me to say, but think Im approx 1 week behinbd you in whole move so will know exactly how you feeling very soon!). We going on 5th Oct and the list thing is getting out of hand - even dreamt about them last night. Saying goodbyes isnt easy and kind of surreal - more emotions to throw into the pot. Hope all goes smoothly , Im sure it will and remember what you/we doing is not easy but easy is for whimps! No pain no gain! Carlieanne and Jeri - your time will come around so quick you will be in Fremantle for fish and chip Sundays before you know it X Take care all

I just can't wait to get my big feet into some soft sand and watch a nice sundown. I was looking at a website on the little harbour everyone goes to.. with shops and restaurants all around. A little beach where you can take the kids, fish ect. Looked just brilliant. Its going to be so nice to actually do things that don't cost anything. Far cry from the UK. xx
Guest Suziepops
Hi Sorry for the head spin. I'm going to either put my OH in the cargo hold or just leave him in Kuala Lumpur! After going through everything yesterday and been ruthless with possessions my OH has handed me the removal paperwork, every book has to be counted, every xmas decoration...... every bauble? I'll definitely be snap happy with the camera all the way, I don't want to miss a thing, talk about a life changing experience, they say what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger, I'm a firm believer... now. I can't wait till we actually land then new stresses begin... yippee! So glad I have a sense of humour it's needed as I can't afford to start taking drugs I need the money to start our new life! I'll keep you all posted about our new adventure including what I did with my OH. I'm keeping a written diary of this new journey, they could turn it into a comedy sketch when I'm finished! Good luck to everyone, keep you chin up and happy packing! x
